Giant Day brings a bold, danceable sound that sits at the crossroads of post-punk, art rock, and indie electronic. The project is the collaborative brainchild of Derek Almstead—known for his work with Circulatory System, The Olivia Tremor Control, and other Elephant 6-affiliates—and Emily Growden, whose resume includes Marshmallow Coast and Faster Circuits. Since their debut, Giant Day has carved out a reputation for expansive, moody soundscapes that are equally suited for late-night listening and energized dance floors.

With the release of Glass Narcissus in 2024 and the follow-up Alarm in 2025, Giant Day showcases a progression from immersive atmosphere to sharper, synth-driven propulsion.
