The Gingerbread House Festival is a beloved annual fundraiser that began in 2010 to support The Watershed History Collective (formerly The Friends). Each year, the festival invites families and visitors to enjoy a magical display of 100–200 gingerbread houses, a gift shop, and engaging activities, with donations benefiting library programming and community events. In 2025, the festival moved from Wood Memorial Library to Nomad’s Adventure Quest in South Windsor due to construction, running from Nov 28 to Dec 14 with hours Friday–Saturday 10am–7pm and Sunday 10am–5pm. Admission is free, with a suggested donation of the best available price per person. While no official 2026 dates have been announced as of February 2026, tickets for Gingerbread House Festival events are worth securing as soon as dates are posted.
