Girugamesh is a trailblazing Japanese band known for blending visual kei aesthetics with heavy metal textures, creating a signature sound often described as hybrid metal. Formed in 2003 in Chiba, Japan, the name Girugamesh draws inspiration from a character in the classic Final Fantasy series. After disbanding in 2016, the group reformed in 2022 and released engrave, their first new track since the hiatus.
