Give Way is a bold, cinematic alt-jazz duo from New Orleans, formed by trumpet/flugelhorn player Emily Mikesell and saxophonist Kate Campbell Strauss. The pair assembled their debut album remotely during the COVID-19 pandemic, trading prompts and notes via email to craft six tracks that weave intricate horn textures into expansive soundscapes.
