Quick Facts About Grand Archives

Formed in Seattle in 2006 as Archives, later renamed Grand Archives; core members include Mat Brooke, Jeff Montano, Curtis Hall, Ron Lewis, and Thomas Wright. Brooke previously left Band of Horses to focus on this project.
Debut album The Grand Archives released February 19, 2008 on Sub Pop; featured tracks such as Torn Blue Foam Couch and Sleepdriving and helped establish the band’s sunlit, 70s Laurel Canyon-inspired indie-pop sound.
Second album Keep in Mind Frankenstein released September 15, 2009 on Sub Pop; produced by Ben Kersten and expanded the band’s sonic palette with richer arrangements.
The band toured the U.S. and Europe in support of both albums, and performed on The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson in 2008 to promote The Grand Archives.
