The Grand Rapids Youth Symphony (GRYS) is a premier audition-based youth ensemble from West Michigan, offering two ensembles—the full Grand Rapids Youth Symphony and the Classical Orchestra (strings-only)—for musicians ages 12–21. GRYS provides a rigorous, community-focused environment for developing artistry and ensemble playing, with a history of training musicians who pursue higher education and professional careers in music.
