He accompanied Celine Dion on her 1998 world tour as a back-up singer and featured pianist, a pivotal moment that helped launch his acclaimed solo shows, starting with Noir et Blanc in 2002. His 2006 album I Think of You enjoyed widespread radio success in Canada, selling over 200,000 copies and earning Félix Award recognition. In 2016, he was named an Officer of the Order of Canada, with other honours including multiple Gémeaux/Fé lux awards, the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal (2012), and the MLK Award (2013).
