The Grigorovich Ballet Company carries the legacy of one of ballet’s most influential choreographers, Yuri Grigorovich (1927–2025). As Bolshoi Ballet’s chief choreographer from 1964 to 1988 and its artistic director through 1995, Grigorovich reshaped Soviet-era ballet with athletic, narrative-driven storytelling. In 1996, he established the Yuri Grigorovich Ballet Theatre in Krasnodar, continuing his prolific choreographic work in Russia. Today, the Grigorovich Ballet Company remains a beacon of his enduring artistry, presenting works that blend dramatic narrative with powerful movement.
