Grupo Miramar began its journey in 1972 in Río Grande, Oaxaca, rising to fame across the 1970s–1990s with romantic balada tropical and grupera sounds. After the original group dissolved in 1995, a new chapter emerged as Grupo Miramar de Jose Barette (also billed as El Internacional Grupo Miramar). The modern group has continued to release material, including remasters and fresh recordings, bridging classic hits with contemporary productions.
