Gus Giordano Dance School, founded in 1953 by Gus and Peg Giordano, is a cornerstone of American jazz dance. Nestled in the Andersonville neighborhood at 5230 N Clark Street in Chicago, it has shaped generations of dancers with the Giordano Jazz Dance technique—renowned for its precise plié, dynamic energy, and iconic "jazz hands". The school’s legacy continues through Giordano Dance Chicago (GDC), established in 1963 and currently led by Nan Giordano, along with Amy P. Giordano who serves as Executive Director.
