Hae-Jong Lee is a distinguished conductor and educator shaping choral life across the Youngstown, Ohio region and beyond. Since 2002, he has guided the Dana School of Music’s choral program at Youngstown State University, serving as the Director of Choral Activities and fostering a rich tradition of ensemble excellence. As Artistic Director of the Stambaugh Chorus since 2009 and Chorus Master of Opera Western Reserve, Lee leads performances that blend artistic ambition with community engagement.

Lee founded and directs Dana Chorale, directing international tours and premier performances. Notably, his ensembles have toured Korea (2017) and performed at Carnegie Hall in 2022, showcasing his commitment to high-level choral artistry on global stages. His career also includes lecturing at the World Symposium on Choral Music in Seoul (2014) and serving as an international juror for the Busan Choral Festival & Competition (2016).

Based in the Youngstown area, Lee continues to nurture choral programming that connects performers with diverse audiences, emphasizing musical craftsmanship, educational excellence, and collaborative community partnerships.
