Halloween, Alaska formed in 2002 in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and Saint Paul, bringing together a blend of indie rock, electronic textures, and moody, atmospheric soundscapes. Original members included James Diers, David King, Jacob Hanson, and William Shaw IV. Over the years, Ev Olcott departed in 2008 and Matt Friesen followed in 2009, shaping the band’s evolving lineup. Known for their synth-forward arrangements, they’ve carved out a distinct niche in the indie scene with a sound that resonates both on record and on stage.
