Hamid Rahmanian is a trailblazing Iranian-born artist and filmmaker whose work blends literature, theater, and animation. A Tehran University graduate (BFA, Graphic Design) and Pratt Institute alumnus (MFA, Computer Animation), Rahmanian founded Fictionville Studio and has become an influential voice in contemporary storytelling. His signature project, Song of the North, reimagines the Shahnameh through shadow theater, live performance, and immersive media. The production features an original score by Loga Ramin Torkian and Azam Ali and brings together a diverse cast of nine performers and hundreds of puppets. The show debuted in the United States at Brooklyn Academy of Music (BAM) in 2022 and has continued to tour across major venues through 2024–2025.
