The Hamilton Bulldogs are a storied Ontario hockey entity with deep roots in the junior hockey landscape. Originating as the Belleville Bulls in 1981, the franchise relocated to Hamilton in 2015 and became the Hamilton Bulldogs, bringing a proud legacy of competition and community support to the Golden Horseshoe. In 2023, due to renovations at the FirstOntario Centre, the team temporarily moved to Brantford, becoming the Brantford Bulldogs and setting up shop at the Brantford Civic Centre (also known as the TD Civic Centre in Brantford). Ownership shifted in January 2025, with Zach Hyman and his family taking the helm and signifying a long-term Brantford lease. The Bulldogs remain a force in the Ontario Hockey League (OHL), known for their championship pedigree and dedicated fanbase.
