The Handel and Haydn Society (H+H) is one of America’s premiere early music ensembles, rooted in Boston since its founding on March 24, 1815. As the oldest continuously operating performing arts organization in the United States, H+H has a storied legacy of presenting masterful Baroque and Classical repertoire with clarity, rigor, and expressive depth. Under a lineage of esteemed artistic directors—from Christopher Hogwood to Jonathan Cohen—the ensemble has consistently delivered performances that connect audiences with the composers’ original textures and intentions.
