Harun Tekin is a pioneering figure in Turkish alternative rock. Born June 28, 1977 in Ankara, he founded Mor ve Ötesi in 1995 and has since become a staple of the Turkish rock scene. As the band's vocalist and a driving creative force, Tekin helped bring Turkish alt-rock to international audiences, most notably when Mor ve Ötesi represented Turkey at Eurovision 2008 with the song Deli, finishing 7th in Belgrade. Tekin’s career spans over three decades, marked by thoughtful lyrics, melodic guitar hooks, and a commitment to storytelling through music.
