The Hastings International Piano Concerto Competition (HIPCC) is a premier biennial event in Hastings, England, with roots reaching back to the Hastings Musical Festival of 1908. Revived in 2005, HIPCC now brings together exceptional young pianists from around the world to compete with live orchestras, spotlighted by a tradition of rigorous rounds and high artistic standards. The competition is patroned by Sir Stephen Hough and directed by Professor Vanessa Latarche, Head of Keyboard at the Royal College of Music (RCM), who also serves as Jury President. The HIPCC blends historical significance with modern prestige, making Hastings a must-visit for classical music lovers and investors in emerging concert careers.
