Heart of America Youth Ballet Tickets

Heart of America Youth Ballet (HAYB) is a nonprofit ballet company rooted in community engagement and artistic excellence in the Kansas City region. Founded by former Kansas City Ballet dancer Cynthia Monaco, the company traces its lineage to 1989 and operates under the 501(c)(3) nonprofit umbrella. HAYB sits within the Heart of America Dance Centre ecosystem, offering robust training from pre-ballet through pre-professional levels and bringing both classic ballets and original works to audiences across the city.

HAYB is known for presenting at the Folly Theater in downtown Kansas City, a historic venue that hosts intimate performances with strong technical demands. Over the years, the company has staged traditional ballets like The Nutcracker, Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty, and Coppelia, alongside imaginative originals such as Alice in Wonderland, The Little Mermaid, The Wizard of Oz, and Snow Queen. The organization is also dedicated to charitable outreach and donations that support local communities through dance education and performance opportunities.

For 2025, HAYB invites audiences to experience the Nutcracker in a fresh setting at Raytown High School in Raytown, MO, December 5–7, 2025. This production continues the company’s mission to provide accessible, high-quality ballet while expanding to new venues within the Kansas City area.
