Hogwash: An Improvised Tall Tale is a beloved family‑friendly theatre experience that blends improvisation, live music, and audience participation into an hour‑long, two‑act format. Created in Chicago in 2004 by Jason Anfinsen, the show invites audiences to become part of the action as on‑stage artists build props in real time while a live band, the Hamstrings, provides an ever‑varying score. The format typically consists of two 30‑minute segments with audience involvement shaping the story as it unfolds.
