Horrible Science brings science to life for young minds with a playful, informative approach. Originating as a popular children's book series launched in 1996 by Nick Arnold and Phil Gates and illustrated by Tony De Saulles, the brand has sold over 4 million copies in the UK through Scholastic. The Horrible Science universe expanded beyond books with a stage show produced around 2010 by the Birmingham Stage Company, crafted for ages 6–14 and featuring large-screen visuals and 3D effects. In 2025, Horrible Science extended its reach to television with a CBBC series, broadening the brand from print to screen. We’ve got you covered for reliable, easy access to official Horrible Science content, books, and any live-stage opportunities that arise.
