Hot Action Cop, the American rock band formed in 2001 by Rob Werthner, delivered a blend of punchy rock, funk elements, and catchy hooks that captured attention in the early 2000s. Best known for the breakout single Fever for the Flava, the group rode the buzz to mainstream exposure and a 2003 self-titled debut album on Lava/Atlantic Records. While Fever for the Flava charted on US Alternative Airplay and international charts, the album also earned a spot on the US Heatseekers chart. Over the years, Hot Action Cop has remained a reliable live act, headlining and touring across the country, including a notable 2003 Lollapalooza run and, more recently, an opening slot for Joan Jett & The Blackhearts in 2022. They’ve become a fixture on the local scene with Lampapalooza, a private festival in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin, where they’ve performed annually since 2015. Fans can follow the band through official channels for the latest on releases and live shows.
