In an 85–100 minute show, 20 volunteers are hypnotized on stage, with the best five performing alongside a professional improviser to create spontaneous scenes. Improvised music anchors the performance under the direction of music director John Hilsen; the show even drew original music contributions from Rufus Wainwright for Off-Broadway runs.
