I Am Tango has earned multiple awards, including ACE Best Musical Show of the Year (2015, 2017) and FOX Music USA Best International Production (2016, 2017). The company has served as a cultural ambassador of Uruguay and has toured extensively, including a 2018 U.S. run and numerous European, Asian, and American engagements through 2023, with Guangzhou hosting a 2019 performance. In 2021, the Homenaje album was released by Montevideo Music Group, credited to Alfredo Lerida and the Tango Lovers Company Orchestra. In 2023, Tango Lovers expanded with Volver, a related production touring in the U.S. and beyond.
