Ice Balloons is a Brooklyn-born collective that has stitched together a distinctive, chaotic yet melodic sound since forming in 2013. Featuring a lineup that includes Kyp Malone of TV On The Radio, Sean Kennerly of Samiam, Sean Powell of Fuckemos/Surfbort, Giselle Reiber of Midnight Masses, and collaborators Dan Scinta and BA Maile, the group emerged from the vibrant New York DIY scene with a band-driven ethos and a fearless approach to live performance.

Their self-titled debut EP arrived in 2013, capturing early in-studio explorations and the raw energy that would define their later work. Since then, Ice Balloons released Fiesta (2017) on Volar Records, a record that helped broaden their radius with a US tour and a momentum built around standout tracks like Calypso Heartworm, which received notable coverage from press outlets like Stereogum. They continued releasing material with Body In The Park (2019), preserving their signature blend of chaotic live sensibility and melodic hooks.
