Icehouse, Australia’s enduring synth-rock pioneers, began life in Sydney in 1977 as Flowers before rebranding in 1981 to Icehouse to avoid confusion with another band. Over the decades, they helped shape the sound of Australian rock with infectious synth-driven production and a handful of timeless hits. From their debut self-titled album in 1980 to the late-1990s studio work, Icehouse has earned a place in the ARIA Hall of Fame and left a lasting mark on global rock and pop music.
