Biography

Icky Blossoms emerged as a bold voice in the indie-pop landscape, releasing their self-titled debut album in 2012 under Saddle Creek Records. Produced in part by TV on the Radio’s Dave Sitek, the debut positioned Icky Blossoms as a refreshingly fearless act with girl-powered energy and infectious grooves. A standout track from the debut, Babes, was highlighted by Rolling Stone as a 'girl-power dance anthem,' signaling the band’s knack for blending catchy pop with assertive modern themes. The follow-up, Mask (2015, Saddle Creek), continued the evolution, with production contributions from Mike Mogis of Saddle Creek and a sound that pushed the project into bolder, more expansive territory.
