Incognito - The Musical brings the legendary acid jazz sound from the UK to stages worldwide. Formed in 1979 by guitarist Jean-Paul 'Bluey' Maunick, Incognito has fused jazz with funk and soul, becoming a cornerstone of the British acid jazz movement. While the name Incognito also appears in other art forms, the band’s musical legacy stands on its own, with a career spanning multiple decades and collaborations with renowned vocalists. Note: In 2025, Theater Wit in Chicago staged a separate Incognito play (not a musical), running July through August.
