Independence League Baseball (iLB) is a dynamic collegiate summer league formed in 2021 by teams transitioning from the Expedition League. Based in the Great Plains, iLB features a blend of full-member teams and travel squads, delivering competitive baseball and community-focused experiences across the region. In 2025, the league expands to eight member and travel teams, including the Casper Spuds, Fremont Moo, Hastings Sodbusters, Oahe Zap, Spearfish Sasquatch as full members, plus the Nebraska Prospects, Plainsmen Baseball, and Bison Baseball as travel teams. Opening Day is May 23, 2025, with a regular season through late July and a final five-game series to crown the champion around July 27, 2025. The Casper Spuds are the 2024 iLB champions.
