Founded in 1984 as Musicians of the Cloister and renamed the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra in 1987, this esteemed ensemble brings intimate, expressive performances to Indianapolis audiences. Based at Butler University's Schrott Center for the Arts, the ICO is led by Music Director Matthew Kraemer since 2015. The orchestra collaborates with renowned soloists and composers, enriching the city’s classical music landscape with accessible, dynamic programs.
