Indigenous Big Band Tickets

Indigenous Big Band (JKIBB) is a 16-piece Indigenous jazz ensemble formed in 2022 and led by Nez Perce drummer and composer Julia Keefe. The group debuted at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in May 2022 and has since become a dynamic force in contemporary Indigenous music, weaving tribal histories with new compositions from Indigenous and allied composers.

With a mission to honor Indigenous jazz history while commissioning and performing contemporary Indigenous works, JKIBB has headlined major stages and earned honors reflecting its growing national influence. The band collaborates with educational institutions and festivals, bringing Indigenous perspectives to audiences across the country.

Biography
Indigenous Big Band was formed in 2022 and debuted at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts in May 2022.
