Insane Poetry is a cornerstone of horrorcore, forged in Los Angeles in 1988 by Cyco with early elements from DJ Streek. The duo helped define a dark, cinematic sound that blended horror imagery with hard-hitting hip-hop. Their debut single, Twelve Strokes Till Midnight, set the tone for a prolific career that would push the boundaries of the genre.
