Insomniac Folklore is the ever-evolving barrel-aged doom-folk project led by Tyler Hentschel since 2002. With a rotating lineup that has included Adrienne Michelle and Amanda Curry, the band blends folk-punk energy with vaudeville, cabaret, and elements of theater-rock to create a distinctive live show. Over a thousand performances later, Insomniac Folklore has built a reputation for captivating, offbeat performances at festivals and clubs alike.

Founded by Tyler Hentschel, the project has released six full-length albums, including the 2024 release Hands Lips & Eyes (original digital release, later issued as a Devoted Edition vinyl in 2025). Other highlights include Everything Will Burn (2017), LP (2010), A Place Where Runaways Are Not Alone (2011), Oh Well (2007), and Smile or Die (2005).
