Since its founding in 1999, IYSO has become a cornerstone of international musical exchange, guided by conductor and artistic director Martin Lentz and supported by Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland and Bremen’s cultural partners. In 2025, the ensemble celebrated its 25th edition and received the Würth Prize der Jeunesses Musicales Deutschland for fostering international understanding through music.
