Founded in 1987 by Mario Quintero Lara, Los Tucanes de Tijuana rose to prominence in regional mexicano circles with catchy corridos and norteño classics, earning a Latin Grammy for Best Norteño Album in 2012 for 365 Días and multiple nominations across the Grammys and Lo Nuestro awards. The Invasion Tucanes concept began in 2018 as a cross‑artist collaboration, traveling with friends like Los Invasores de Nuevo León and other acts to bring a broad, crowd-pleasing Norteño showcase to fans in the U.S. and beyond. The banner continues to promote dynamic shows under the Invasion Tucanes Tour name, with recent activity surfacing in major markets such as New York and a confirmed 2025 date at Acrisure Arena in Palm Springs featuring La Adictiva and Tapy Quintero as guests.
