IQ2US Debates, now operating as Open to Debate, was founded in 2006 in New York City by Robert Rosenkranz with a mission to raise the level of public discourse and encourage critical thinking. Rebranding in 2023 reflected a broader, civility-focused format while preserving the rigorous, evidence-based debate tradition. The organization has produced more than 200 live debates and partnered with major platforms like NPR, Bloomberg, BBC, and PBS to bring thoughtful dialogue to a wide audience. In 2019, it hosted its first AI-vs-human debate in partnership with IBM’s Project Debater, showcasing the potential of technology to enrich, not just challenge, public conversation. Open to Debate continues to host frequent, issue-driven events across the United States, including high-profile tours and appearances at esteemed venues. Secure your seats for upcoming discussions that explore policy, society, and the future of democratic dialogue.
