Iron Age emerged from Austin, Texas in 2005, carving a niche at the intersection of metal and hardcore. With a relentless DIY ethos and a raw, uncompromising sound, they helped shape Texas heavy music for a generation. Their early release Constant Struggle (2006) on Young Blood Records established the band as a force to watch, setting the stage for a pivotal 2009 release that would become a touchstone for underground metal/hardcore fans: The Sleeping Eye. This album would later be reissued in 2019 by 20 Buck Spin, ensuring new listeners could discover the band's defining work.
