IRSC Jazz and Wind Ensembles Tickets

The IRSC Jazz and Wind Ensembles are cornerstone programs of Indian River State College’s performing arts department, showcasing a blend of classic and contemporary jazz literature performed by talented student musicians. Under the direction of Dr. John K. Southall, these ensembles contribute to the cultural fabric of Fort Pierce and the broader Florida community with on-campus concerts and community collaborations.

With a dedicated roster that typically includes 21–26 members in the Jazz Ensemble, the groups rehearse and perform across multiple on-campus venues, delivering engaging performances that highlight both traditional big band repertoire and modern jazz works. Dr. Southall is a nationally recognized leader in music education and has directed IRSC’s Honor Band and Orchestra Festival since 2005, also serving as president of the Florida Music Educators Association.
