The Irvine Chinese Chorus is a cornerstone of Orange County’s cultural scene, rooted in the Irvine Chinese School and grown into the area’s largest Chinese choir. Since its founding in September 1989 by the parents of Irvine Chinese School students, the ensemble has inspired audiences with a capacity for blending traditional Chinese folk songs, contemporary choral works, and west‑meets‑east collaborations. Under the baton of conductor Wei-Chih Sun and with pianist/accompanist Sonia Lee, the group brings vibrant performances that often feature traditional Chinese instruments such as the pipa and guzheng. This page highlights their biography, discography highlights (noting that public album releases are not widely published), and upcoming tour information so fans can secure seats with ease through our trusted connection to local venues and events.
