The Israel Philharmonic Orchestra (IPO) is one of the world’s most celebrated orchestras, based in Tel Aviv, Israel. With a rich history dating back to its founding by the legendary violinist Bronisław Huberman and a long-standing commitment to musical excellence, the IPO has become a cornerstone of Israeli cultural life. Led by Music Director Lahav Shani since 2020, whose contract runs through 2032, the orchestra continues to push artistic boundaries while honoring its storied legacy. Home venues include the Charles Bronfman Auditorium and Heichal HaTarbut, both in Tel Aviv, where audiences experience hall acoustics and intimate performances that showcase the IPO’s dynamic sound.
