Issac Delgado, born Isaac Felipe Delgado-Ramírez on April 11, 1962 in Marianao, Havana, is a central figure in the timba movement and a co-founder of NG La Banda. Since launching his solo career in 1991, Delgado has become one of Cuba’s most influential contemporary salsa artists, blending his rich vocal style with high-energy percussion and sophisticated arrangements. He has earned recognition with EGREM prizes and Grammy/Latin Grammy nominations, anchoring a prolific recording legacy from the early 1990s through today.
