Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra Tickets

The Jacksonville Symphony Youth Orchestra (JSYO) is a premier developmental program for young musicians in Jacksonville, Florida. Founded in 1993 as part of the Jacksonville Symphony Association, JSYO provides a laddered pathway from beginner string players to advanced full orchestras across six ensembles: Jump Start Strings, Foundations Strings, Encore Strings, Premiere Strings, Repertory Orchestra, and Philharmonic. Members benefit from coaching with Jacksonville Symphony musicians, community partnerships, and performance opportunities that build skill, teamwork, and stage presence.

Season runs from September through May, with concerts at Jacoby Symphony Hall. Highlights include the Major/Minor side-by-side with the Jacksonville Symphony and the JSYO Young Artists Competition winners performing as soloists. In 2025, VyStar Credit Union launched the VyStar JSYO Scholarship in partnership with the Florida Prepaid College Foundation, a four-year program supporting eligible JSYO students with 120 credit hours to pursue higher education.
