Jeff Bodart (1962–2008) was a seminal Belgian performer and voice of Charleroi’s music scene. Best known as the frontman of Gangsters d’Amour from 1983 to 1992, Bodart helped shape a raw, cinematic sound that fused rock with chanson and a dark, poetic sensibility. After the group, Bodart pursued a solo career, releasing a series of intimate albums that showcased his storytelling and distinctive vocal style. His influence continues through posthumous releases, tributes, and a lasting memory in Belgian music history.
