Jesse Clevenger is an acclaimed classical horn performer and educator known for his lyrical tone, precise technique, and thoughtful interpretive approach to orchestral and historical performance practices. Since joining the San Francisco Symphony as Acting Assistant Principal Horn in 2023, Jesse has broadened his impact as a performer and mentor. Educated at Indiana University (BM in Horn Performance) and Rice University’s Shepherd School of Music (MM), Jesse maintains a horn studio at Stanford University and leads engaging masterclasses and teaching sessions. He has served as Interim Assistant Principal with the Houston Symphony and as Assistant Principal/Soloist with the Sun Valley Music Festival, while guesting with prestigious ensembles such as the Chicago Symphony, Dallas Symphony, Hong Kong Philharmonic, and Toledo Symphony.
