Jimmy Gallagher and The Passions are a cornerstone of Brooklyn’s 1950s doo-wop scene. Led by Jimmy Gallagher, the group broke onto the scene with early singles like Tango Of Love (1958) and Just To Be With You (1959), which became their biggest chart moment, peaking at #69 on the national charts. Though Gallagher left the group in 1960 to serve in the Navy, the Passions carried the torch on the doo-wop nostalgia circuit for decades, often sharing stages with notable acts like Kenny Vance & The Planotones and LA LA Brooks. Today, they continue to charm audiences with tight harmonies, melodic ballads, and the timeless appeal of vintage doo-wop. If you’re in the mood for classic harmonies and a genuine piece of American music history, this is a show you won’t want to miss.
