Jose Miguel Rodilla is a distinguished conductor and educator with a rich international footprint in orchestral and contemporary music. Born in Valencia, Spain, he studied conducting, composition, and clarinet across Valencia, Alicante, Rotterdam, and Salzburg, earning an Honours Degree in Conducting from the Royal College of Music. Rodilla serves as the Head of the Orchestral Conducting Department at the Conservatorio Superior de Música de Murcia and is the artistic director of the Mediterranean Soloists. He also teaches at the Diesis conducting academy, shaping the next generation of conductors.

Rodilla made his conducting debut in 1990 and led the Orquesta Sinfónica de la Región de Murcia as Chief Conductor from 1996 to 2012. He formed the Concertus Novo Chamber Orchestra in 1993 to champion contemporary music and has since conducted ensembles and soloists worldwide, spanning from early music to modern repertoire. His wide repertoire includes opera, zarzuela, and a broad symphonic spectrum, reflecting a career marked by collaboration with renowned soloists and major orchestras.

In recognition of his contributions to music, Rodilla has received notable awards such as the Best Conductor Prize at the Murcia International Youth Orchestra Festival in 1991 and the 2020 Jaume I Award from the City of Lliria (Ciutat de la Música). The 2025 schedule features international engagements across Europe and the Americas, including performances in Bari, Brasilia, Elda, Sanremo, and Concepción del Uruguay.*
