Widely active in the Dallas–Fort Worth area, he collaborates with major ensembles such as the Dallas Symphony Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony, and Dallas Winds, bringing a diverse repertoire that spans classical stalwarts to contemporary premieres. An advocate for new music, Jose often premieres commissioned works and expands the percussion repertoire with original arrangements, including his marimba adaptation of La Negra y Caballo Viejo. His work highlights the power of rhythm to connect audiences and living composers, making him a vital figure in today’s concert scene.
