Joy Columbus Gay Men's Chorus (CGMC) is one of Columbus, Ohio’s prominent LGBTQ+ choral groups. Founded in 1990, CGMC is a leading TTBB chorus with multiple ensembles, including Vox and Illuminati, and a youth program known as The Columbus Queerscendos. Key 2025–2026 season events include Sounds of the City on March 14, 2026 at the Riffe Davidson Theatre; This Mortal Coil on May 3, 2026 at King Avenue Church; and Ancient Gods on June 13–14, 2026 at the Riffe Davidson Theatre. In 2024, CGMC made history as the first LGBTQ+ chorus invited to perform at the Ohio Music Education Association Winter Conference in Columbus, underscoring the ensemble’s impact in regional arts education.
