The Jupiter String Quartet has established itself as one of the leading chamber ensembles of the 21st century. Formed in 2001, the quartet blends virtuosic technique with expressive interpretive depth, delivering performances that resonate with both seasoned concertgoers and new listeners. As of 2025, the ensemble features Meg Freivogel (violin), Liz Freivogel (viola), Daniel McDonough (cello), and Mélanie Clapiès (violin), following Nelson Lee’s departure in September 2025. The ensemble is committed to accessible, high-quality classical music and has a long-standing connection with university communities and major cultural institutions.
