Justin Kauflin is a distinguished jazz pianist and educator whose story blends unparalleled artistry with a passion for mentorship. Born on March 10, 1986 in Silver Spring, Maryland, Kauflin has been blind since age 11 yet transformed challenge into a luminous career on the piano. He trained under the mentorship of trumpeter Clark Terry and later toured with music legend Quincy Jones on multiple world tours (2013–2014). Kauflin contributed to Jones’ album Dedication (2015) and gained broader recognition through the Keep On Keepin’ On documentary, which won the Tribeca Festival Audience Award and chronicled his journey and impact as a mentor to aspiring musicians.
