History
Karina Rykman was born and raised in New York City and began playing in bands in her early teens. By the end of her senior year at NYU, Karina Rykman joined pianist Marco Benevento’s band, recommended by Ween bassist Dave Dreiwitz. Karina Rykman has performed with various notable acts including Vulfpeck, Dispatch, The Claypool Lennon Delirium, and Guster. Karina Rykman released her debut album 'Joyride' in 2023, which was critically acclaimed. Her album 'Late Checkout' was released in 2026 and expands her musical universe with a focus on lyrical storytelling. [4] [5] [6]
